Nothing on the Dashboard exists until a Portfolio does
A Portfolio is the capital boundary every figure on this page is measured inside. Until one exists there is no denominator, so the page shows the route to creating one rather than a set of zeroes pretending to be a reading.
Paper and live are separate accounting domains, not two colours of the same number. A paper book needs no venue connection; a live one is bound to a verified exchange connection and is the only kind that can move real capital.

HOW TO READ IT
An unreadable figure is not a zero
When a source cannot be read, the Dashboard says it is unavailable instead of drawing a flat line. That distinction matters most on the days it is least convenient: a book that reports nothing because a feed is stale looks identical to a book that did nothing, unless the page refuses to conflate them.
The same rule applies to a signed amount that rounds to zero. A book that is down thirty cents prints as flat rather than wearing a red minus-zero, because a tone is a claim and that claim would be false.
