Orrery is the broad-context surface
Orrery turns several research questions into a navigable terrain. It is useful when the question is not only “what is the value?” but “which structure is dominating, how stable is it and where does the market sit inside it?”
Each expedition has its own visual grammar and inputs. Read the active expedition, symbol or basket, timeframe and feed before comparing terrain from two different worlds.

Read the world before the color
Name the expedition
The expedition title and question tell you which data channels the terrain represents.
Check the feed
Orrery can show live or synthetic fallback data. Treat the feed label as part of the evidence.
Use the shared playhead
The timeline and terrain share one playhead. Move through the record instead of reading one snapshot in isolation.
Save a preset only when it is named
A preset is useful when its expedition, parameters and question are clear enough to reproduce later.
Orrery is not a map of certainty. Color, height and marks are semantic channels for a defined expedition; they should not be read as generic bullish or bearish decoration.
